Over the last 10 years English and Welsh Wine has started to gain national and international fame, with the accolades to match. Our aim is to spread the word and to provide everyone with the opportunity to experience what this country has to offer.
We will be working closely with English and Welsh producers with the aim of sourcing quality, unique and up and coming wines from the country's best and most exciting producers. Our goal is to provide light hearted and informative producer profiles, easy going tasting notes and a general background into the industry on our home turf. Through corporate events, home tastings and promotional social media, we will make this exciting industry accessible to all.
Coming from three different backgrounds within the industry, we offer a unique and experienced perspective. We share a devoted passion for all things wine and from this came the idea of the English Wine Movement.

Tommy has spent the last five years working as Assistant Winemaker for the reputable Devon based producer, Sharpham. His job focuses heavily on the operation of all aspects of the winery from lab work and the tasting and blending of wine to running a small team during harvest. He deals with trade sales and has strict targets to hit in order to ensure wine is always finding new buyers on trade. Tommy has recently played a big role in the re-branding of Sharpham and has working passionately to develop a ‘new look’ label, website and bottle shapes in order to further drive sales.
Tommy also spends time as consultant winemaker for a new vineyard and winery. Here he has also begun to learn the techniques and skills required to produce high quality gin and traditional method ciders, all of which he will be helping to produce.
Tommy has attained his WSET level 3, consistently carries out public tastings and has judged for the Independent English Wine Awards.

Tom has come from a hospitality background having spent the last five years working as a Sommelier in Australia, France and UK, most recently in a two Michelin star environment. Tom has great tasting experience and broad knowledge of the industry having taken his work abroad. He has worked under experienced head Somms and stepped up to lead wine programs himself. His role focussed on serving, selling, sourcing and storing fine wine, visiting producers, curating wine lists and driving wine sales at all times.
Tom now splits his time between restaurant floor and his role as sales, retail and marketing manager for an English producer. Tom’s role here is to drive online and cellar door sales, to operate and coordinate tours, to plan and host special events and to promote the brand. Most recently he has been putting his efforts into the re branding of their current range.
Tom has judged on the panel for IEWA awards and has consulted on wines lists for other restaurants.

For the last four years, Josh has worked for an English Wine producer focusing on cellar door sales, in-depth tastings and tours of the vineyard and winery. Most recently, Josh has dabbled in the more 'hands-on' side of wine production - putting up with bee-stings whilst picking Madeleine Angevine and punching down Pinot Noir.
As our social media guru, Josh’s social media management skills have proved very useful. His talent in online marketing has resulted in our rapid growth and increased audience reach.
