Camel Valley

The Story

This celebrated success story stems from Bob and Annie Lindo's decision to buy Little Denby Farm, deep in the Cornish countryside. Originally intending to farm sheep and cattle, they bravely decided to delve into the realms of cool-climate viticulture.

With a small workforce and all jobs from pruning to crushing done by hand, the early days were understandably tough. However a consistent string of awards spurred them on towards stardom, with Bob eventually winning an International Wine Challenge Gold Medal for their sparkling wine - Cornwall's first Sparkling wine!

With Bob's son, Sam, now at the wine making helm, Camel Valley are no stranger to success - having won 'UK Wine Maker Of The Year', a plethora of international golds and ‘Best International Traditional Method Sparkling Wine' ahead of the likes of top Champagne such as Bollinger and Roederer.

More recently, Camel Valley became the first ever English Wine Producer to be awarded a Royal Warrant - having supplied their wines to the Royal Household over a period of several years!

With their national and international success surely set to continue, the family orientated nature of Camel Valley is admirable - with several members of the Lindo family heavily involved in wine making and viticulture.
