WEST COUNTRY WINE TASTING
BRISTOL/THE RUMMER/MAY 31
You've probably heard the buzz around English Wine (if not then where have you been hiding!?) - our industry is booming and our wines are now respected on an international scale. This is a unique chance to sample 30+ West Country Wines under one roof and see what all the fuss is about.
This annual showcase is run by the SWVA (South West Vineyards Association) and coincides with English Wine Week - a week dedicated to spreading the awareness of our flourishing industry. This is a valuable opportunity to meet the talented producers behind these wines, hear their stories and sample the good stuff!
This year's event will be hosted by the Rummer Hotel in St Nicks Market. A historic Bristol institution and still very much at the vanguard of the food and drink scene in the city.
Grab a ticket, pop down to the Rummer and come see what all the fuss is about. Please follow the button below to purchase a ticket and read more about the event.
Guy Smith of the SWVA says,
“ We are a group largely made up of small family owned producers some of whom are third or fourth generation farmers. We are also a group of friends that work together to try get our wines the recognition that we feel they deserve” . “ Bristol is a city renowned for its fascination with locally sourced food and drink and so it seems natural that we should come to the historic Rummer hotel in St Nicks market to show just how good our own local wines can be. Many of us sell into London and around the rest of the UK, some also Export as far away as China but for us, there’s nothing better than being able to show our wines at home in the West Country.”
