The Winery

Head winemaker, Duncan Schwab, employs a mixture of classic and new world techniques to best create the unique Sharpham style. A small winery lies in a shaded north-facing barn on the back side of the vineyard, where you can always count on coming across some exciting experiment that could be destined for future release.


Care is taken at every stage throughout the wine making process to ensure quality of fruit isn't lost and the wines reflect the South Devon environment in the best way possible.

Sharpham rely on second use French oak barrels to bring balance to particular wines without masking the fruit flavours English Wine is so famous for. Other wines rest in stainless steel to add emphasis to the clean and citrus driven acidity this cool climate can achieve.
