Woodchester Valley

The Vineyard

Since planting in 2007, Woodchester has blossomed into a combined 45 acres of healthy and diverse vines - ranging from Bacchus to the classic sparkling varieties. Planted on predominantly South Facing slopes, all three vineyards have been carefully assessed and matched with grape varieties specially suited to each soil type.

Whilst all plots overly a sedimentary layer of Oolitic limestone, their soil types range from the shallow and stoney Cotswold brash (suited to Pinot Noir and Chardonnay) to the deeper, higher clay content soils of their Stonehouse vineyard (better suited to the Bacchus vines).
